Nectir CEO Kavitta Ghai argues that institutions should stop debating whether to adopt AI and start focusing on how to do so by aligning it with three things: sound pedagogy, real privacy, and measurable outcomes. She makes the case that AI should mirror instructor intent through Socratic questioning and adaptive scaffolding rather than rushing students to answers; that faculty materials and student conversations should never become training data; and that AI can personalize learning at scale without forcing students to disclose disabilities or differences. Citing a peer-reviewed Los Angeles Pacific University study showing a 20% GPA increase and a 36% rise in intrinsic motivation, Kavitta explained, “When AI is built to amplify human potential instead of replace it, the classroom doesn't shrink. It expands.”
